SMS Credit/Director Reports
Available from any location in the world
We are the only company in the UK offering instant and live mobile access to
credit and director information on all UK limited companies. This information
is available using any registered mobile phone, 24 hours a day, from any location
in the world. Credit decisions can therefore now be made instantly by users
who are regularly out of the office, e.g. executives, sales representatives,
account managers, etc.
Who can use this service?
This option is available to all registered users, who have "Mobile
Services" selected (& authorised by their system administrator) on
their account. Each time a request is made, the security settings and the account
credit limit are checked.
Which companies and directors can I obtain information on?
All UK Limited companies and directors. We are hoping to add
information on non-limited businesses soon.

How does the SMS Business Search work?
Step 1 - SMS Business Search
A user simply sends a text message to our incoming SMS number (44 778
147 2730) containing the company name: e.g. british telecommunications
The search process works in exactly the same way as our website search, so if
a very general search word is used (i.e. red lion), a large number of search
results will be returned. Users should therefore try and provide the full company
name if at all possible (the word limited is not required in the search).
Step 2 - Search Results
A text message will then be returned to the user (normally within 60
seconds) showing the available companies that match the search criteria, e.g.
1.BRITISH TELECOMMUNICATIONS FINANCE LIMITED,JERSEY 2.BRITISH TELECOMMUNICATIONS
PUBLIC LIMITED COMPANY,EC1A 7AJ.
A user should then "reply" to this text message entering just the
required "number" (e.g. 1, 2, 3 , etc). No other details should be
sent.
Step 3 - Available Reports
A text message will then be returned to the user (normally within 60
seconds) providing more information on the selected company, together with details
of the available SMS reports e.g. BRITISH TELECOMMUNICATIONS PUBLIC LIMITED
COMPANY,No:01800000,Type:PLC,Inc:04/84,Accs:Group,AccsTo:03/04,R/O:EC1A 7AJ,1.Credit
2.Director
To request a report, a user should then reply to this text message entering
just the "number" shown in front of the required report (e.g. 1 or
2).

No = Registered Number
Type = Limited, Plc, etc
Inc = Incorporation date (Month/Year)
AccsTo = Period to which the latest accounts are made up to
R/O = Registered Office Postcode
Available SMS Reports will normally be: 1. Credit or 2. Director

A text message will then be returned (normally within 60 seconds) providing
the relevant SMS report details:

How does the SMS Director Search work?
Step 1 - SMS Director Search
As with the "Business Search" above, a user simply sends
a text message to our incoming SMS number (44 778 147 2730) containing the directors
first name and surname. However, to enable the system to know that it is a director
search, the keyword "director" must also be added at the beginning.
To define the search further, further keywords ("town", "county"
or "full postcode") can also be used after the name, as follows:

Step 2 - Search Results
A text message will then be returned to the user (normally within 60
seconds) showing the available directors that match the search criteria, e.g.

A user should then "reply" to this text message entering just the
required "number" (e.g. 1, 2, 3 , etc).
Step 3 - SMS Report
A text message will then be returned (normally within 60 seconds) providing
the relevant SMS report details, e.g.

How much does it cost?
The standard price for all the "SMS Reports" is £9.95
(+VAT). This will only be charged to your account when you select one of the
reports. Each SMS message we send is charged at 25p. We make no charge to your
mobile phone account, but your own mobile provider may charge you for each SMS
message you send.
Do I receive more than one text if the information is more than 160 characters
Yes, as SMS messages are restricted to 160 characters,
in the available reports and SMS report steps, a further continuation SMS will
automatically be sent containing any information beyond the 160 characters.
In normal circumstances, only 1 or maybe 2 SMS's will be sent for these steps.
However, as the search results step could potentially produce a large number
of results, there is no automatic production of further messages, but an option
for the user to request further SMS's if required (normally by replying with
"0").
Can the purchased SMS credit/director reports also be viewed on the website
Yes, all the purchased "SMS Reports" also appear in
your "download" area for viewing, saving or emailing.
Can I see what SMS requests have been made & charged
to my account
Yes, our website "reporting" option allows you
to see the full details of all the SMS messages that we have sent. To keep the
billing aspect simple, we only charge your main account in multiples of £10
(i.e. £10.00 will be charged to your main account after every 40 SMS messages).
Do all the initial search requests have to be sent to the one incoming
SMS number
Yes, all the "step 1" search requests have to
be sent to our main incoming SMS number (44 778 147 2730). The subsequent SMS
messages that we then send out are on differant numbers, to enable us to track
each message.
