You can use our business search to search for:
a company (i.e. one which is registered at Companies House, usually with 'Ltd'
or 'Plc' on the end of their name) and/or -
a business (partnership or sole trader not registered at Companies House)
Once you have identified the company or business, you will be able to select
reports and documents that relate to them. In most cases, you will first need
to select from a list of matches, as there are often similar or identical names.
Company Search
Company or Business Name
Enter the name (or the start of the name of the company or business) that you
are interested in. For example, entering "British Energy" will find
all companies or businesses that start with the word British Energy. Be careful
when doing a company search using common words as you may get several matches.
For example, there are thousands of companies and businesses that start with
the word "British". It is always better to start off with a full name
to search and then shorten it if you do not find a match.
Don't worry about punctuation, as this will be ignored for matching. Ampersand
("&") characters will be treated exactly the same as "and".
You do not need to enter "Limited" or "Plc" at the end of
a company name.
If you are looking for information about a limited company or Plc, you can
also enter their Companies House registration number. This will return just
one match from the database.
